🤦🏻‍♂️Floods are probably an aquarist’s worst nightmare. They are messy and can be quite costly. Prevention is the best method of safeguarding against floods but it is also wise to be prepared for them. Proper design and installation can mitigate flood damage and cleanup time tremendously. That’s why I design my systems with easily removable sumps when I can’t place them in flood proof areas. I woke up to this mess this morning but was able to clean up and replace everything in under 2 hours because the system was designed to be removed when necessary.
